SynergyOwl is in early access. This page says plainly what it collects and why. If anything here changes, the date above changes with it.
What SynergyOwl stores
- Your account: email address, name if you add one, profile picture if you upload one, and sign-in details (a hashed password, passkeys, two-factor settings, or the Google or Microsoft account you connect).
- Your household's finances: the accounts you add, the statement files you upload, the transactions in them, the entries you type, categories, rules, schedules and receipts.
- Operational records: sign-in times, emails the service sent you, and an audit trail of any support visit to your account.
What SynergyOwl does not collect
- Bank or card logins. SynergyOwl doesn't connect to your bank.
- Advertising or tracking data. There are no ads, analytics scripts or tracking pixels on this site or in the app.
How it is used
Your data is used only to run SynergyOwl for you and the members of your household: to show balances, reports and reminders, and to help you when you ask for support. It is not sold, rented or shared for marketing, and it is not sent to third-party AI services.
Who can see it
Members of your household see your household's shared accounts. Private accounts are visible only to the person who holds them. An administrator can open your account only to help you; every such visit is recorded and shown on screen.
Service providers
SynergyOwl runs on infrastructure it rents: servers and a database, file storage, an email delivery service for messages like password resets, and Cloudflare for the network in front of the site. They process data only to provide those services.
Keeping and deleting
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can export everything at any time from Settings. To close your account and delete its data, email [email protected]. Backups that contain it expire on their normal schedule.
Cookies
The app uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. This website uses none.
